Okay, so on to the perspective....I was out walking with Emily today (because she seems pretty content outside) and I remembered this one family I ran into while nursing Emily at Nordstroms a few months ago. A mom and her sister were changing the diaper of a little girl. Her little girl was probably the age of my youngest niece (2 years old) and she sat in a different kind of stroller/wheelchair with her legs positioned straight in front of her. Her legs were essentially tied in place. They had to unbuckle about 6-8 straps just to free her legs. They were lifeless. Emily will often lift her legs straight in the air to "help" me change her diaper, but they didn't have any help from their girl.
Although exhausted from the past couple of days with Emily's illness---it is only temporary. Her balance is off kilter and she is falling a lot, but that is only temporary too. The little girl I met a few months ago didn't have the luxury of falling and getting back up.

It's so hard when they're sick...
It's hard to maintain your sanity amid the fear, the frustration, the grossing-out, and the lack of sleep.
It's good to remind yourself that there are people out there who are in a harder situation than you...
But it's okay to get frustrated and "lose it" every once in a while.
Take care Jen - I'm saying a prayer for all of you.
I am so sorry to hear you and Emily have been sick.
Hope you are better soon. Our prayers are with you.
hey jenn, i'm so glad to hear she's on the mend...ella is too. it is so hard when your baby is sick, but i love your "perspective" on counting our blessings in the midst of sickness, knowing that it will pass. i'm glad you & brian remained healthy...mike ended up getting it after i talked with you. poor guy!
Poor babies. Illnesses are just awful. I'm proud of you for seeing the bigger picture. This too shall pass! Hang in there!
So I am finding comfort in your posts about Emily being sick. Its been almost a week since Abby stopped puking, and she's still hardly eating anything. I am starting to be concerned. Did Emily regain her appetite quickly? I need some encouragement!!!
