Thankfully...no one in my household is sick, but Brian and I have had to take a day off this week to take care of our little girl because our daycare provider is sick! I decided that I am a goody-goody....I was totally stressed out last night because I had to take a day off. Why in the world should I feel guilty about it when I am given the time each year to do so?

You should consider it a blessing - it gives you a whole day with Emily! And you should totally NOT feel guilty about it - I'm sure no one at work gives the fact that you took off a day a second thought. Hope you enjoyed the day!
I understand your feeling. It's the same feeling I get when I come down with something...I know that there will be a price to pay in a ton of extra work when I recover. (And I'm just talking home duties!) Once I had a job where calling in sick meant hellfire would rain down on you in form of a vengeant boss. Let's just say that sick days at that place meant you would be in tears you came back. It was aweful.
Hopefully, your return will be easy. Enjoy your extra time with Emily!
Dude. Having to take a sick day when you're all actually healthy?
That's awesome!
Don't feel guilty - enjoy it!!!!
Have an awesome day with Emily! I wish I could claim a sick day and come down and spend the day with her for you. I will keep your day care provider in our prayers.
you are not a goody - goody, just a dedicated individual :) I'm glad that you were able to take the time & hang out with emily, i'm sure she loved it!
I think it was how you were raised. My mom taught me to use your days every year. Before I had Tanner I would take 1 day off a month just for fun. Tanner took Thursday and they had a play date. They went out to breakfast, to the park and played all day. Tanner and I loved hanging out with Em on Tuesday. We will do it again anytime!!
